Dear Colleagues,

Marching season is upon us and we know you are finalizing your plans for marching band competitions for the fall. Things are no different for us at Lassiter. Competing on the local, regional and national level, we are fully aware of the need to have our bands involved in the highest quality marching events in the region. The Lassiter Band Booster Association is pleased to invite you to be a part of such an event, the 9th Annual Lassiter High School Marching Band Showcase.

We had an extremely successful competition in 2010 that included over 3200 performers, 4500 spectators, and 200 Lassiter volunteers. We believe you will find this marching competition to be one of the highlights of your fall season. The Showcase will be held Saturday, October 8, 2011, at the beautiful Frank Fillmann Stadium on the Lassiter campus. The stadium has a five-story press box and an excellent public address system, as well as ample parking and seating for your supporters.

We are committed to providing a most pleasurable and educational experience for your students and community. We are certain you will find a highly skilled and very positive panel of adjudicators, fully capable of providing excellent input into your marching program. In addition to press box judges, on-field judging for music and visual provides a complete package. An on-field starter keeps both the prelims and finals moving smoothly which will allow for you and the drum majors to appropriately prepare for your performance. Our very well organized band boosters stand ready to provide thousands of smiles and verbal support as you move through your musical journey. We guarantee that your program will be welcomed and encouraged at every turn. 

Although our show will not host a separate festival component, non-competitive bands interested in participating in our event may enter for ratings only.
